Detective work regarding the hiatus
As far as I can tell, the author has nearly no online presence, which is respectable,
but also makes it a little hard to tell whether he's dead.
Consequently,
it's also nigh impossible to figure out whether this manga will ever be continued.
Currently, there are two volumes out. The absolute last sign of life of the author
I found were some releases of his doujin series あなたは猫ですか (anata wa neko desu ka)
near the end of 2022. This roughly corresponds with his announcement of attending
Comitia 141 on his dead tumblr account I found found through dumb luck.
The second volume of this manga was released in March of 2021. The individual
chapters were published in the magazine Young Unreal Jingai,
which releases every 2 or 3 months or something.
At the time of writing this, there haven't been any releases of Ningyou no Asa
in the magazine since issue 10.
Anyways, I'll keep an eye on it, but it is likely that the manga will forever
be stuck at chapter 10.
Update 2024-02-28:
HE'S ALIVE! He added
a tankobon version of anata wa neko desu ka to DLsite. Though it appears
to be a re-release of the old chapters, I'm just glad to know he's still
around.
